What We Look For
Safeguarding Standards
- Comprehensive child protection policies
- Staff vetting and DBS procedures
- Clear incident reporting processes
- Designated safeguarding lead
Operational Excellence
- Detailed risk assessments
- Appropriate insurance coverage
- Clear communication protocols
- Structured quality assurance
Optional private review pathway
After an initial conversation, providers may ask about the School Trip Experts private review pathway. It considers the evidence and information supplied across governance, safeguarding context and operational readiness. It is not a regulatory, government or external-awarding-body accreditation, and it does not replace a school’s own due diligence.
The information a provider may be asked to address is organised around five areas:
Safeguarding standards
Risk management and documentation
Insurance and liability structures
Operational governance
Alignment with school expectations
Start with a structured provider enquiry
The enquiry form helps us understand your organisation, programmes and reason for getting in touch before we suggest an appropriate next step. No listing, review outcome or commercial arrangement is created by submitting this form.

Request a conversationFrequently Asked Questions
What types of providers do you work with?
We work with a diverse range of providers including educational travel companies, international residential trip operators, ski programme providers, adventure education organisations, sports tour operators, language immersion programmes, and curriculum-linked travel experiences.
Is there a cost to join the network?
Commercial arrangements, if relevant, are discussed after an initial fit conversation and confirmed in writing. We do not publish assumptions about costs or commissions on this page.
How long does the application process take?
Timing depends on the information available, the scope of the conversation and current capacity. We will reply by email with the next step and any information required.
What happens after I join the network?
We will explain any next stage, current limitations and proposed actions clearly. A provider enquiry does not guarantee listing, introductions, review status or commercial outcomes.
Can I ask about the private review pathway immediately?
Yes. Raise this in your provider enquiry and we will explain its purpose, evidence areas and limitations. The pathway is optional and separate from a school’s own approval process.
